Local Profiles provides software and related services that help local businesses understand and improve their online presence. This policy applies to the Local Profiles website and associated services operated under the Local Profiles name.
By using Local Profiles, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this policy.
2. Who operates Local Profiles
Local Profiles is a product operated under the Local Profiles name as part of the SEO Arc ecosystem of local-business software.

If you choose to connect a Google account to Local Profiles features that use Google Business Profile APIs, we may receive information from Google that is needed to provide those features.
The permissions shown during Google’s consent process control what is shared. Local Profiles does not access or store your Google password.

- Google account identity details used to identify the connection (for example the connected account email)
- Google Business Profile location and profile details needed for the connected features
- Related business profile information retrieved through Google Business Profile APIs
The current Google OAuth scope used by the Local Profiles / SEO Arc Google Business Profile integration is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage. This is not a read-only scope: depending on the feature you use, Local Profiles may read Google Business Profile data and, where the product feature requires it and you have authorised access, may update profile-related information through Google’s APIs.

We use information to:

- Maintain accounts and service settings
- Improve reliability, security and usability
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations where applicable

7. Google OAuth and API permissions
Connecting a Google account is optional and under your control.
During Google’s consent process, Google shows the permissions being requested. You can approve or decline those permissions.
Authentication tokens (access tokens and refresh tokens) issued by Google are stored securely in the Local Profiles / SEO Arc platform environment so the connection can continue to work until you disconnect it. Tokens are used only to provide the authorised Google Business Profile features.
If you do not connect a Google account, you can still use public website pages and any features that do not require Google authorisation.
8. Google API Services User Data Policy disclosure
Local Profiles’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular:
- Google passwords are never accessed or stored
- Google user data is not sold
- Google user data is not used for advertising
- Google data is only used to provide the features requested by the user
- Users can revoke access through their Google Account
- Users can request deletion of their Local Profiles account and stored data
9. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be shared only where needed to operate the service, for example with:
- Trusted service providers who help host, secure or operate Local Profiles
- Professional advisers where reasonably required
- Authorities where disclosure is required by law
Where Google APIs are used, Google processes data according to Google’s own terms and policies for the services involved.
10. Data storage and security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.
Google authentication tokens and related connection records are stored in the platform’s secure WordPress environment and are not publicly accessible.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We work to protect information appropriately, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Local Profiles, maintain accounts, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected. When information is no longer required, we take steps to delete or anonymise it where practical.
12. Account and data deletion

We aim to process deletion requests as soon as reasonably practicable and normally within 30 days. We will delete or anonymise personal data we no longer need to retain, subject to any legal, accounting or fraud-prevention retention requirements.
13. Revoking Google access
You can revoke Local Profiles’ access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Account third-party access settings: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Where the product provides an in-product disconnect control, you may also disconnect Google access from Local Profiles / SEO Arc.
After access is revoked, Local Profiles will no longer be able to retrieve new information from Google APIs for that connection. Stored tokens for that connection are removed when disconnect is completed in-product. You may also contact us to request deletion of related stored data.
14. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for basic operation and security. We do not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies.
